The cost of a MyDietDoc doctor consultation, personalized diet plan, medication, and program varies, starting at approximately $279/month. Your MyDietDoc weight loss specialist will help you determine which option is best for you. 

Do I talk to "real doctors"?

Yes. MyDietDoc patients only talk to doctors who are educated and licensed to practice medicine in the U.S., as well as living in the U.S.

What are some common conditions MyDietDoc treats?

MyDietDoc is not a primary health care solution. MyDietDoc focuses on weight loss, weight management, and a handful of other specific health and wellness programs.

Can MyDietDoc handle my emergency situations?

MyDietDoc is NOT designed to handle emergent medical problems. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1 immediately.

Can I use it for my family?

MyDietDoc has determined to only provide care for adults 18 years and older. However, in rare cases and if the doctor approves, minors can receive a base level of nutritional guidance (no prescription medications).

Can I get a prescription?

MyDietDoc does not guarantee prescriptions. Medications are commonly prescribed by MyDietDoc doctors, but are always subject to doctor approval based on your individual health status and needs. MyDietDoc doctors do not issue prescriptions for DEA-controlled substances, non-therapeutic substances, or certain other drugs which may be harmful due to their potential for abuse.

How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?

MyDietDoc does not dispense prescription drugs. If the doctor prescribes medication, it is submitted electronically by fax to a specialized pharmacy for fulfillment on your behalf, and then sent directly to your home or office.

Is my electronic health record kept private?

Health records are kept completely private, and we employ robust encryption methods to protect your personal information. You determine who can see the information in your record.

Can I be turned down for a weight loss program?

If a prescription medication is sought, based on your health history and at the doctor’s discretion, he/she may deny your request for specific medication(s).

Can I call MyDietDoc outside of the United States?

MyDietDoc visits are NOT available outside of the United States.

Will my insurance cover the cost of MyDietDoc weight loss programs?

While it is not common for insurance providers to cover the cost of weight loss medication, we do recommend checking with your insurance provider prior to meeting with a MyDietDoc weight loss specialist.

How long will it take to receive my medication?

The shipping time varies depending on the current demand, the type of medication, and the state you reside in. During your initial consultation, your MyDietDoc weight loss specialist will provide an estimate on delivery time.

If I am given a prescription as a result of my visit, how will I be notified?

You will be notified by the doctor if your prescription is approved. All prescriptions are submitted to the pharmacy as “patient specific” in your name, and then mailed directly to your home or office. If denied medication, you will be verbally notified during the doctor consultation.

Why do I have to fill out additional intake questions?

We require answers to additional intake questions in order to ensure our MyDietDoc providers can customize a diet plan for each individual, and in order to achieve the highest rate of success.

The cost of a DIET DOC doctor consultation, personalized diet plan, medication and products varies, based on your budget. Lowest amount for new patients to get started is $299, and averages $199/month during course of weight loss treatment.

Yes. DIET DOC patients only talk to actual doctors who are U.S.A. educated and licensed to practice medicine in the U.S.A. and living in the U.S.A.

Diet Doc has determined to only provide care for adults 18 years and older. However, in rare cases, and if the doctor approves, minors can receive nutritional guidance (no prescription medication) only.

DIET DOC does not guarantee prescriptions. It is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. DIET DOC doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic, and/or certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. Typically, prescription medications are common and prescribed when Diet Doc Doctors approve and prescribe.

Physicians have up to two (2) business days to diagnose or ask for more information if needed.

You will be notified by the doctor if your prescription is approved. All prescriptions are submitted to the pharmacy as “patient specific” in your name, and mailed directly to your home or office. If denied a medication, during the doctor consultation, you will be verbally notified by the doctor.

In order to make sure our Diet Doc Providers customize a diet plan for each individual, and in order to achieve the highest rate of success, we do require an intake with specific questions.
